A hiding spot

We rearranged the funiture in the basement and found 45 cat toys under the couch! Okay, so it wasn't really that many, but I seemed like it. Isaac found a couple of toy mice that didn't make it to the garbage, for whatever reason, and he holds them by their tails and touches their eyes... he's not too sure about them.

Tonight, Charles showed Isaac that his pants have pockets! Isaac thought this was the funniest thing ever... by the end of the night, he had a mouse in each pocket. He has also started intentionally hiding things (including himself). I gave him a cup of cereal yesterday and I have no idea where the cup is now - and I have searched! Before going to bed tonight, we asked Isaac what was in his pockets (he apparently had already forgotten about the mice). He got the silliest grin and proceed to pull out the mice. He now has a cool new hiding place :)

Bye - bye...

...Kitty cats. Saturday afternoon we took the cats to the "no kill" animal shelter. The first thing the lady from the shelter told us was that Shadow and CB were too old and that they would be euthanized that afternoon. So much for the "no" in "no kill". I thought about turning around and leaving at that moment, but Charles reminded me of their diminished life at our house. They have been kept in the laundry room for about 6 months. It was sad for me to have to do it, but I didn't really have any other choice.

Here are the pictures of Isaac seeing them for the last time.

It's been 1 1/2 years...

...since I have been to the movie theater! Some of the girls from church got together Friday night for dinner and a movie! It was a nice time. Roy babysat Liam :) He did a good job. Some of the girls couldn't believe that Roy was watching Liam by himself... but he ordered pizza and they did boy stuff while we misbehaved at the store and at the movie (Angela's fault, or course).

There were about 10 girls who saw the movie "27 Dresses". I don't think Angela or Terani could tell you what the movie was about, but they thought it was hilarious ;) It didn't help that I had a bright blue beacon next to me (thanks Shanique). We were cracking up in parts of the movie that were supposed to be serious... again, Angela's fault. But who wouldn't rather see a movie with her?!? She can make anything funny.

Oh, by the way, Walmart wants their wheelchair back ;)

Slide

Isaac puts everything down the "slide", including spoons, balls and little people. I happened to catch him trying to put his new bus down the slide - so funny! He was very determined, but eventually gave up.

Virus

Yesterday, Isaac walked across two rooms all by himself!! He had a really good day. He was walking and talking a lot and was very good at the grocery, and he ate all of his supper. Then he went with Charles to a committee meeting and got sick - all over Charles :( He was sick on the way home and a few times after arriving home, too. I did not find out until I got home from the MSBC Ladies prayer meeting at 10:30PM (Which, aside from Isaac being sick, I am glad I went to).

He was able to sleep the whole night and has gone all day today without getting sick anymore. Thank you, God! However, he is very lethargic and has not eaten much at all. His sickness came on so suddenly, I pray that neither Charles nor I catch it. Isaac was supposed to go to Aunt Angela's house last night, but at the last minute, we decided he would go with Charles instead - thank goodness. That would have been the last thing Angela would have needed... a sick nephew, a 6 month old and Mom in pain on the couch recovering from foot surgery! God worked it out so that Angela was spared of the trouble.

On a happier note, Isaac has continued walking across rooms and is determined to walk as much as possible (regardless of feeling sick). He's my little trooper. He still finds a way to smile and play even though he doesn't feel well.
